Mounting Options
The Pro X features a full wiring harness and is intended to be a dash mount install. Below is an example of a dash mount.
Wiring Harness
The Micro Pod Lite and Pro-X use the same harness making upgrading to a pro dash easy. Our harness is fabricated to military specifications using automotive grade wire, industry standard connectors, and superior covering materials. Each analog input, digital input, and digital output is arranged in a separate group that consists of power, ground, and channel. This makes it easy to connect to any number of sensors without the need for a custom harness.
The standard wiring harness requires you to measure and attach connectors (sold separately) to each channel to hook up to sensors. RLC offers a service to its customers to attach the connectors to the standard harness, after customer has measured out the harness, for a fee. Or, save time and upgrade (at time of purchase) to a pre-configured wiring harness with the lengths measured and connectors atached. Availabe in open wheel and closed wheel configurations. (Fits most cars)
The remainder of the wiring harness consists of all the connectivity that you need to download your data to a USB flash stick, connect to your PC, GPS or video camera. All of these connections are provided with industry standard connectors pre-installed.
