Hi, been busy here. :)
We have added a new feature in our latest firmware release (01.02.06) which really only matters to certain applications where the control of the recorder is given to another device.
What this new feature does is add the ability for a remote switch (or front button push for that matter) to start recording. As long as the switch is pushed, it will record. As soon as the switch is released, it will start a countdown based on a user programmed time, to stop recording.
So if you have some sort of data acq that uses a signal being pulled low to trigger...but keeps the signal low (as in not momentary), this will be the answer for you. Or if you wanted to trigger the unit and only have it record X seconds after the trigger, this will also be the answer.
This will be a feature you can enable or disable in the menu and the default is disabled.
Please ask if you would like further explanation. Thanks.
