Movement detection start-up

I am asking would it be possible to start-up the PDR100 recorder by using a movement or heat detection sensor. My idea would be to record ...say a burgular entering a room
Any thoughts on this please.

We have customers doing that now using some off-the-shelf motion detection units that then trigger our recorder.

We could though write some code for motion detection if we felt there was a market for it.
