Randall,
There are some threads/commentaries floating around on Rennlist that ChaseCam has a forthcoming HD upgrade. Can you offer any insight on this topic? I think an HD upgrade would be fantastic!

Toby,
We are developing a full HD system. We have a working prototype recorder and camera. We are shooting for Spring 2009 for release. We do not have pricing at this point.
We will continue to offer and support our standard definition unit, as we believe it offers a quality, functionality, and price point that will continue to match perfectly with many of our customers' needs.
Thanks!

Thanks Randall. Will this system require a new PDR or simply a software update? If it requires a new PDR, will the form factor be the same so that mounts and brackets would carry over? I know new cameras would be required, but will they retain the current form factor?
Need any testers? If so, I'm game! :D

New camera. New recorder. Similar sizes. Not sure about exact form factor.
Thanks.

OK, thanks for the info. Am interested if there is any thought of upgrades for current customers. Any dates for availability as yet?

Randall, any updates now that the DashWare package is out?
Still volunteering to be a crash test dummy!

All I can say right now is we're pushing development as fast as we can. As you can see with DashWare, there are lots of exciting things going on. Spring might be on the aggressive side right now, but know that we're still pushing forward with HD.

I know it's not what folks want to hear, but all I can say for now is we're still pushing forward on it. Thanks for your patience!

Whilst my PDR100 is still going strong, I'm on the lookout for affordable (ish) HD onboard systems. So frankly I can't wait to see what you come up with...

A quote from Randy in another thread:
Product Line-
PDR100. Nearing end of life, will be replaced by PDR200.
PDR200. This is still a standard def recorder with some new features. Locking camera connectors. Improved power supply. Up to four camera sources with user settable windows. USB. Data expandable. Large hi-res color video screen for aiming and playback. Speaker. Much more....
DIVA. PDR200 with enhanced data sets. GPS. Sensor inputs. An all in one solution. Can do graphic overlays or record the data.
PDR-HD. Once the PDR200/DIVA is out of development, we will work on the HD. Most of the work will be done as it uses the same chip set as the PDR200/DIVA. We only have to work on what is different. The schedule for this is a little more difficult to nail down, but I expect a few months of work.
PDR200 will probably begin shipping within 60-days.
Thanks.
