Hi,
I want to use the PDR 100 in a rally car (dusty and rough).
Do I need to mount the unit in a dust proof enclosure?
Thanks

Ideally, yes. The PDR will stand up to some dust from normal use, but if you expect dirt to be landing on it, our weatherproof box would be a perfect option. We recently used these with the Monster Jam group. Here's a shot of our install on Grave Digger.

We have ours in a Pelican box with pick n pluck foam insert around it. What does the official chasecam box use to hold the PDR? Our PDR gets pretty hot.

We have foam inside the box, but don't use the pick n pluck. The PDR fits snug enough in the box that we can give it a little air around it.

Your box doesn't seem that much smaller than mine can you post a picture of it with the pdr inside and the box open?
