Firstly, thanks for sorting out the PDR door for me. Fitted like a glove, and it's back up to full speed again! Great.
Just wondering if there was any progress made on the PAL 'static on the top and black bars round the edge' issue that afflicted some (all?) PDRs? As I claimed at the time, it's not the end of the world because it's easily cropped out, and doesn't even show on a DVD screen, but it would be good if it was ultimately sorted.
If it was sorted, can the improvement can be carried out retrospectively, or will it require the purchase of a new unit? If it has yet to be sorted is it likely (or can it be made so) that existing units can be upgraded.
Having said all that (and I do love my Chasecam!), I recently got round to playing RAW footage from last year on a TV screen via a DVD, and the quality was great. So much better on a proper sized, interlaced and slightly anti-aliased screen than deinterlaced on a sharp computer monitor. So much so I think I'll review all my racing from the sofa this year!
