This past weekend I was installing Chase Cams in a few cars for a race series, and received a message on one of the PDR 100s that a video breaker tripped. This happened right as I was hitting record before they went out for qualifying, and needless to say, I did not get that footage.
When I was plugging one of the cameras into the recorder, one of the pins got bent. I tried to straighten the pin out and ended up breaking it off. I then replaced that camera with another camera and plugged it into the recorder (the recorder was off). It seemed to power on and off just fine. When I came back a little while later to turn it on to record the race, it gave me the message that the Video Breaker tripped.
This was running off batteries, so I know it didn't have anything to do with the car wiring. Does anyone know what could have caused this and how I can fix it? The camera I plugged in the second time was a Chase Cam as well.
Help!
