considering a situation using a gtech, gps data logger, pdr 100 and ss100 all together, ss100 plugged into pdr. gtech, gps, and pdr all getting power from a 3 way cigarette lighter adapter such as:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-1-TO-3-TRIPLE-CAR-CIGARETTE-LIGHTER-SOCKET-SPLITTER_W0QQitemZ120398408793QQcmdZViewItemQQptZC ar_Electronics_Parts_Accessories?hash=item12039840 8793&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

is this going to cause power problems?

You can't power the SS1000 off the PDR. The PDR +/- OUT was only designed to support cameras, not other units.

I'd suggest making a daisy chain type wire out of a cig lighter adapter to run both the PDR and SS1000. So it would go in to the PDR +/- IN on the green terminal block, then run a second wire from the SAME PINS on the terminal block over to the SS1000, so the systems are in parallel.

The triple cig lighter adapter's capability will be based on your cig lighter's ability to supply enough power. It should be fine, as the PDR and SS1000 combo should pull less than 1 amp.

Thanks.

We make our own custom cables for this type of thing all the time. The short answer is yes you can create any 'Tees' you need to power various things off your lighter adapter as long as you don't exceed the amperage rating of the fuse.
