Went to find them today on the forum and the old forum has disappeared:confused: Can someone let me have a copy of the diagram that was posted on here before as my Chasecam supplied lead 4 pin DIN end fell off:( I have sourced another plug and need to solder it on.

Cheers

There was a nice explanation of wiring up a remote with half an ethernet cable, two LEDs and the switch on the old forums. It even went into the "standard" colors for the wires probably in the network cable positions for the gnd, leds and switch.

Can we get that back up, please?

OK, well I found the Motec / PDR manual, which had good pinout information, so that combined with the image in this thread got me going. Created a quick proof of concept remote and it works great.

Now I just have to get my video quality issues set and I'll be in great shape.

Please help a new boy on the block......

Unfortunately I have also managed to break the wiring connection to the minidin! I have downloded the pinout pdf, however, I do not know which wire is which. I have 1 each x yellow, white, red black wires...which of them is the +12vdc, com,vid & pin1?

Thanks for any help!

Hi Roy,

First of all, on that connector you have just 3 wires to connect on the 4 pins.
On the "PIN 1" there is no wire. Chasecam used a standard connector but with a special connection.
This "PIN 1" is just a point of reference for you. Find the PIN 1 and you'll be sure to put the other wires on the good pins, but with the pin out frame, it's simple to be in the good way.

You certainly forgot the comma between red and black and so have 4 wires.
Here is your connection:

Red > +12V ( DC12V IN)
Black > COM (Ground or GND)
Yellow > VID (Video in)
White > COM (Ground or GND)

( Just for info, the Chasecam cam have only 3 wires to be compliant with the connector )

Cheers

Thanks Michel, I am assuming from what I interpret, that the white and black wires require to be connected together on the same pin?

Many thanks!
