It's been over a year now since the announcement of the new remotes. Any updates on when they will finally be ready to ship ?

Dude, grab a button and a CAT-5 cord. Cut the end off, strip the wires and hook up the two that make the unit work like you're pushing the button on the front.

5 bucks, if that.

So does this mean those of us who've had money in your bank for more than a year will now recieve the "new" remote?

Everyone was offered an alternate remote, or a refund. Now you can get a wired remote, a LAN-C remote, or a refund.

All three people that were waiting on a remote still were offered this option.
