I cannot seen to solve this problem. I have extreme poor audio quality of my recordings. Sounds so bad, I have to overlay music to the vid!

PLEASE walk me through how to set-up the audio on your recommended selection using the PDR internal mic.

Thanks!

Hi Alan,

What did you mean by "extrem poor quality", do you have an exemple?

The Manual said :
INT/EXT MICROPHONE LEVEL. Set this to HIGH or LOW depending on the level of sound.
Suggestion is to set it to LOW for use inside of a racecar.

Are you in this set-up ?
It's more than a suggestion, you MUST to set the internal mic to LOW, otherwise the distortion arrive immediatly, the sound volume inside a racecar is very hight.

Don't forget also :
- Your PDR is your mic ! It's not the first thing that we realise when we put it into the racecar. Think "sound" and chose carrefully it's place.
- isolate the PDR from all the parasite sounds, bodywork vibrations, etc...

Hope it's help you, let me know.
Cheers

Thanks for the info! The PDR is in a Pelican Box, so it must be rattling in that box...also must be creating a distortion as well...I will confirm settings as well...
