when i hit to set start/finish, my gps track overlay map disappears. it shows a little smudge of white is all. placing it other places around the track i seem to get a full track, but they aren't the finish line. what am i doing wrong?

also looks like i sometimes have 2 laps instead of 1, maybe because it's only a point on that line i got registered as start/fin vs it being a drawn line i'm crossing? please advise. i think part of the reason a lot of the track is junked may be that i have a lot of bs pit data before the vid. this is the same raw data as i posted in the synch problem vid.

i did try putting a start/fin on my source data in the logger - http://mike.developer10.com/20090531-1250-all-laps-export.csv

it is strange because this created a single lap track image and the image doesn't look anything like the track. please advise, thanks!

Hi,

I think I have figured out the problems. First there should be a new version of DashWare available for download posted tomorrow - this contains some bug fixes that are needed.

Using the lap data seems to be the way to go - however there is a problem with the csv that is exported. The lap csv has varying numbers of columns - to fix this bring the csv into Excel and delete the last column (Trap name). I will contact the race chrono developer tomorrow - and see if he can fix it, it is a really minor bug.

And finally since your karting laps are relatively short change the DataLoggerMinLapTime setting in the settings.xml file. The number represents the minimum amount of time in seconds a lap can take - and with your data 20 seconds seems about right.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ChaseCam\Dashware\Settings in XP

and I think it's in c:\Program Data\ChaseCam\Dashware\Settings in Vista, but I am away from my vista box right now.
