Hello there;

Has anyone found a way of sending live feeds to pit crew of this info from the car? I know of HD wireless signals for broadcast, etc, etc...but has anyone experimented outside the realm of pro broadcasting?

cheers

Most of the 'non-pro' methods we've seen are cellular-based. We've had customers who have either pieced together their own setup using multiple cellular signals or bought an OTS solution. The biggest issue is bandwidth and reception for the cellular stuff. I know we have one customer using this method for offshore boat racing.

Outside of that, you're usually looking at a pretty hefty investment.

Saw this disussion and am curious if anyone has come up with a good system to do this? I was thinking of setting up a netbook in the car with a mobile card that would allow me to connect to the internet and use some kind of service like Ustream so that the crew and anyone could watch the action live.

Not being a computer whiz, I am curious how you might be able to get the video from the PDR to the computer. I have not been able to find any cords that would go directly from the a/v output to a computer via any a/v input (usb?). I have seen them go to the traditional red/white/yellow cord, but I have not seen any oomputers with this kind of connection. So, I would guess there has to be some way to do this. Any ideas?

Certainly not a need to have, but it would be cool. Any input would be helpul.

Thanks.
