I'm trying to sync some PDR100 video with some DL1 data and I seem to be running into some technical issues. I've tried searching for the answer and apologize if they are known issues.

First off the video screen in dashware does not play the video correctly. The audio is correct but the video is oddly broken up and pixellated (screenshot attached). The video plays fine in windows media player and the Dashware output video is fine as well.

Secondly the data in the output video seems to drift over time. In a 1 hour video the data is correctly syncd at the start of the vid but seems to drift over time in the output.

the questions in the previous post seemed to run off screen so I'm just repeating them here for easy reading:

Aslo my machine is running Win XP and dashware 1.0.5

Hi rnr,

Would you mind trying v1.0.6 of DashWare? We did change some codecs, and it could address the playback problem. As far as the sync issue, would it be possible to ftp me the video and the data file, and then I can see what is happening? I will PM you the ftp information.

Thanks,
Mark

Where can I get 1.0.6? I tried the download page (http://www.chasecam.com/dashware/downloads) but that still lists 1.0.5

I just PM'd you with the link for 1.0.6. Sorry I forgot it has not been officially released yet.

Tried with v 1.0.6 and the playback within dashware is still garbled.

I also re-rendered the video and the sync appears to work now - I may have just messed up the sync the first time

It seems like you have some sort of codec conflict. There are a couple of things that can cause this - one possiblity is a corrupt settings file. The test for this is easy. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ChaseCam\Dashware\ and rename the settings folder to settings2 or something. Then run dashware again, and it should reinstall the settings folder. After an installer dialog, you should see DashWare come up with the default 800x600 window size.

If that works let me know - otherwise I will make a special build with debugging info to help sort out your codec conflict.

I tried this and while Dashware did restart in the smaller size window I am still having the same blocky video display.

Hi,

We are working on a custom build of DashWare that will give us more logging information, so we can figure out which codecs you are using. Give us a day or 2, to put it together.

Thanks,
Mark

No worries - I've still been able to create videos so its not like this has been blocking my use :)
