hi
1. any idea if at chasecam they sell Lemo connector - BNC+DC to connect a camera to a PDR100H

2. Does any one have a solution to the "fields" problem in PDR files playback?

3. any clue of which editing software would deal with the PDR files including sound and video at the same time without passing hours of convertion etc...
final cut pro does not recognaize the sound
avid does not recognize the mpeg2 format...

It is very hard to get any answers from their tech support
.
Thanks for your help

Hi

Premiere CS3 recognize the native files from the PDR without any pb but Final cut pro is a very hight quality soft, it's strange, are you sure trying all the set-up?

Also, purhaps a simple pb of codec. The last "NERO" get the good one, install it on your MAC or PC. After that try final Cut, it could work fine.

Agree with you, very difficult to have answer from the tech support since the new web... ?

Hope it help you

Albert,

We have the BNC connector you are describing. They aren't something we normally sell, so they aren't on our online store. Please call to order. 619-337-2300.

If a software application won't play the file it's often just a codec issue as Michel said. I've used programs as simple as Windows Media Player once the codec is installed.

Thanks.

Yes, and just for the Mac guys out there . . . . Quicktime also plays fine with the Mpeg2 codec installed - audio & video both there!

+1 and great H.264 encoding.

I would add that QT also brings a lot to the party on the peesee platform as well - Upgrade to the "pro" version ($20 from memory) and you'll have more in and output options than you ever dreamed of..... This obviously has the additional benefit that you don't need to get involved with the dreaded "Windoze Movie Breaker". :)

From memory, both the Mac and PC versions do also need the optional (but cheap) MPEG2 codec in addition to what comes with QT before they'll play nice with the PDR output.

Cheers,
Ian
