First, I would like to say I have been using ChaseCam PDR100 for a few years and I am happy with the product, and service. I really like the integration with my Traqmate system. I just turn on Traqmate and when I get a GPS signal the PDR100 starts recording. I don't even have to turn the PDR100 unit on.

However, I do have an issue that the unit only records in SD. Good HD cameras are inexpensive and the video is solid. In these days, using SD is behind the times. I am suprised the technology for the PDR100 has not really changed since I purchase the system a few years ago when every 6 months computer technology is out of date. Yes, new firmware has been introduced and g-force can be displayed, but the video is still the same.

Yes, I know HD files are huge and practically choke my computer when processing, but I still want HD. I have a Good HD Camcorder that I could put in my car, but I don't want the trouble of sync'ing the data and video.

Again, I am happy with the product but you need to move to the current technology or people will move to another platform.

Thanks for the post. We announced our work on an HD system some time ago, and are still planning on releasing it. Keep tabs on the site for updates.

Thanks.

Good to hear. What is the timeframe and any idea of cost and/or upgrade path.

Thanks,
Rodney

I'm looking into purchasing the PDR100, bullet cam and the G-Force module upgrade but I'm currently recording on an HD point and shoot that looks amazing. Is the new HD just the cam or would it be the pdr and cam? If it's just the bullet cam then I don't mind purchasing it now assuming that the Split Screen Video Processor will work with both the sd and hd cams.

Thanks

It's a new camera and recorder. No way around it, the technology is completely different.

For now I can only say we're pushing hard on it. We'll release dates, samples, etc. when we can.

Thanks.

Patience and I had a serious falling out some time ago, that ended up in a courtroom and got quite nasty. I'm no longer allowed within 200m of Patience, and I only ever get to see our child, Calm, at the weekends.
