Hi
(re-posted here as Chasecam Contact Form failed).
Three questsions please:
I have 6 x PDR100, bought new here in Australia. And need more.
The latest 2 have the G-force unit.
Since loading latest firmware 1.02.04 into all 6, the ENTER button does not work on either of the G-force equiped units. (possible coincidence / red herring, but it is the case on both of them). All the surrounding arrow buttons DO work reliably. So I now cannot change any settings or perform functions such as setting G-force orientation. I use all the units every weekend, but am down to 50% out of action at the moment.
Do you have other reports of this, and a possible firmware fix?
Another (an older one) has a power/record button that only works when it feels like it, with consequent aggravation, hair-pulling and lost data (the unit did not recover file after power down/up). I imagine that will be returned to local dealer for repair under warranty. Is this a known problem?
Third question: Heard of another user locally who traced an intermittent engine misfire and eventually believed they only had the problem during races when the Chasecam was recording. I have not experienced this myself yet, but my equipment is likely to be used in similar ECU/vehicle(s), so potential is there. Are you aware of RF emanation issues with any aftermarket engine management systems or any other electronics? Is the unit certified to be legally compliant in Australia?
Thanks for your urgent assistance. I need more units, but need some more confidence first.
Regards
Stuart
