View Full Version : Video output rendering at 2x speed???

Stumped as to what's the problem and have made all versions of video output (WMV, MPEG, MP4) to verify the problem yet when I play back, the video is moving at exactly 2x speed while the audio is perfect at 1x speed. For example, the video I just created is exactly 2:30 in length but the video is complete at 1:15 after moving at 2x speed and the audio continues perfectly until the end at 2:30. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Very odd !? Not sure, but I don't think that the PDR 100 can do that alone.
Check your original video reading it directly with WMP from your CF or connect your TV to your PDR 100 with the "VIDEO OUT", start and look at if there is a problem.

If you can't read directly your CF on your PC, it's a simple codec problem. Download "NERO", you'll get the right one.

If you used a soft to play back your video, check the set up of the channel "video". Try with an other file from a standard camcorder to see if there is'nt the same problem.

Hope it's help you

It is video that was taken off a camcorder. It plays in the Dashware window properly and synced up with the data as well. But, when I export a video is when I see the problem playing the exported video (all format options).

Hi,

Sorry I answered too fast...Didn't see it was into the Dashware topic!

Have you tried playing the exported video in DashWare? This may help narrow down the issue.

Thanks.

Hi,

Do you used default video profiles or have you creat a special one ?

Are you on XP , VISTA or MAC ?

Did you try to uninstall and re-install Dashware ?

System Info: XP, new install of Dashware.

Not sure I follow re-->playing the exported video in dashware.

Also, not sure what the video profiles are so I would say 100% I have not created a special one. I just used the drop down menu item to create a video and it asks what format and then away it goes making the video.

I'm assuming you are playing the exported video using whatever player is on your computer (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, VLC, etc.)

I'm suggesting you open up DashWare and create a new project, then import the video you just exported, as if it was the original video. Then hit Play in DashWare and see if it still plays at 2x.

If it still plays fast, then we may have a bug we need to fix. If it plays properly, you probably don't have the proper codec for whichever player you were originally using to view the exported video.

Ah, that makes sense. I'll give that a shot right now.

Just opened Dashware and brought that video into a new project and it play video 2x speed and audio at normal 1x speed. Randall.....I sent you a PM with some more info.
