View Full Version : PDR100 Hot and stopping

Our race team bought a PDR100 set-up acouple of years ago at SEMA. just the past two races the recorder has began to hicup. I replaced the card with a Scan Disk 8gb. The recorder gets hot and the outer screen freezes. I have checked the cables and they are fine. The last update was conducted prior to July 4th of this year. I thought the issue was with card, but now it is only recording for 30 minutes instead of the 6 hours we are used to getting.

Another question, do others send in there units for periodic maintenance?

It's possible your PDR needs to be repaired. Heat, to a certain extent is normal, but shutting off isn't. I'd recommend calling us so we can go over the specific symptoms on the phone, and then determine if the unit needs to be sent in for repair.

The PDR100 doesn't require any maintenance. From time to time we get teams who send them in just to have them put through QA before a big event. We don't see any reason for this if they aren't experiencing any problems, but as always we're happy to do what we can to make our customers happy. The vast majority of our customers just install it and let it do it's thing. :)
