I know it's not the target market but has any thought been given to opening up the file format imports to something like a standard .GPX (xml export of GPS data), or better yet one of Garmin's new format's .FIT or .TCX? This would be for a niche of road and mountain cyclists that use garmin bike computers and helmet cam's.

If not - is the expected file format for CSV data posted anywhere here? I can script it myself to create the format you are looking for.

The only requirement for the CSV data is that it has a time column. The rest can be configured/converted/interpolated within DashWare's data profile editor. Once you setup a data profile you can use that profile to easily open up future files.

You should be able to test all of this in the evaluation version of DashWare. Please take a minute to download it and give it a go. chasecam.com/dashware

I'll see if Mark/Rolf can comment on the other formats.

Thanks.

This is something I have been thinking about for a while (GPX support). If all goes well, our next release (coming very soon) will support it.

Thanks,
Rolf

I have added TCX and GPX file import capabilities to DashWare, it will be there in our next release. We auto-convert them to CSV files.

I need some more test data and if any TCX users want to help beta test it, that would be great.

Email me if interested.
