Video : No input issue

The camera line was accidentally cut when it was being removed from the car, and the red wire is cut all the way through.

The white and the black look OK, and cant see if there are is an additional one.

What does the red wire do? If we go by convention that would mean it's power? Would the camera work OK if I just carefully solder the ends back together?

Hi Raynman,

The more logic answer to your question is "try !"
If the wire isn't cut in an other place, the cam is going to work fine.
The only problem is the rain, you must to use a heat-shrink sleeve to protect your solder.
