Why ChaseCam?

One thing became apparent when talking with our customers at trade shows--we did not do a very good job of communicating what makes our company different. We think these differences are important. I hope you will agree. Thanks for reading. -Randy Chase

• We engineer our products. We have a lot of respect for the companies that can actually design and engineer. But those companies are few. In fact, we may be the only American company in this market that actually does our own development. What do the other companies do? They import a consumer or security based product from overseas where labor is cheap and throw a sticker on it. Or take a circuit board from that same supplier and put in their box. They may be good at marketing, probably better than us. But we have focused on engineering. We design all the circuitry. We write the code. We build it here. We are committed to building in the best technology we can. It may cost a bit more to build the product locally, but we think it is worth it when you look at the big picture.
• We are racers. We understand what you need and what you are talking about. We are often at the track and provide track-side support at many major races. Check our community forum for a list of which events we will be at. Because we are racers, we get it. We understand your requirements.
• We respond to our customers. Many features on the recorders are based on customer requests. For an example, we supply recorders to SCCA Pro Racing for the SPEED World Challenge series. While at Sebring Raceway supporting that event, we saw the difficulty the race officials had with starting all the recorders on grid, all at the same time. At the next race in Long Beach, we swapped out the recorders with new units that turn on automatically, and record when they sense motion. Nobody has to touch anything. Flawless!
• Field upgradeability. We planned ahead. When we add new features, you can easily stay current by downloading a file from our website and updating your unit. Want hands free recording now? Even if you have a unit that is two years old, as long as it has the Gforce module, a simple downloadable firmware upgrade will enable you to have the hands free option.
• Hardware upgrade path. We don’t penalize our customers for buying technology from us. We will continue to come out with better products and if it requires you to trade in and upgrade, we will do whatever we can to make that easy for you to do.
• We are reachable. Our community forum is there for getting your questions answered. Call us. See us at the track. We are not some no-name company.
• Service. My best example is thid one: I got a call on my cell from a customer at the Ferrari Challenge races in Portland. She needed an extension cable replaced that day. I happened to be driving up the freeway to Washington state for a race and I was already in Oregon. An hour later, I hand-delivered the cable to her. Now that was a bit lucky, but we try to always provide personal service. We know how it can be at the track. There is enough stress in racing.
• Sponsorship support. We support racing and the racing community. We are involved from the grassroots level on up with contingency money for SCCA ProSolo, Runoffs, and World Challenge. We also sponsor and support several pro teams and drivers.
• Run with the best. We supply Formula 1 teams, V8Supercars, IMSA, TV shows, Robby Gordon, Ganassi Racing, Red Bull Racing, Micron, Alex Job Racing, Bill Auberlen, Remington Cadillac, and many more. Our products have proven themselves with the top teams, in the most demanding applications. ChaseCam dominates the higher end racing market.
